BJ was the perpetually single friend in the group. She was never attached to anyone for more than a few weeks and never seemed to long for some one to be attached to. She always gave the best relationship advice though it seemed she never had any real life experience. Only DeLee and Ken knew that she loved another member of their group who is never mentioned except in passing. When she stops to reflect we can she her visibly hurting from the loss that is obviously still rather new. She is a rather successful artist and gallery owner in town and lives well but not lavishly.

Ken was always Michael’s second hand man in high school. A very popular, handsome, and well-liked guy Ken did well with his peers but not in school. Though he was smart school was never “his thing” and he joined the marines straight out of high school. He traveled around the world first in the service and then on his own and became an even more well-rounded and mature guy. A past failed relationship hit him hard and he decided to come home to figure out what he is doing with his life.

Michael was always very popular in school he and DeLee were the “it” couple in their Junior and Senior years and he went on to do well in college and, after a “starving artist” period, sold out to get a job as a field journalist for a big, somewhat conservative, newspaper out of school.

DeLee was an extremely accomplished ballerina and cheerleader and after going to dance school failed to make it anywhere in the professional realm and ended up as a stay-at-home mom and wife in their very affluent neighborhood. They are very well off now but there are hints of a dark period in their past that still pokes its head up every so often.
